There was a point in time I aspired to blog. Granted that I did 6 posts in 2 years, the last one being 2012, it's safe to say that dream will never come true. My blog remains up because I still have a few people who find my posts (somehow) and email me with questions.

When a user upgrades from Outlook 2007 to Outlook 2010, but not to the whole 2010 Office Suite, Office 2010 will look for Word 2010 to use as its editor. This means the auto correct feature won’t work, nor will the red underline while you type spell check feature.
To do this: Navigate to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\ and copy the Winword.exe file. Then, nagivate to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14\ and paste the Winword.exe file into this folder. Simply restart Outlook 2010, and you should be good to go. I’ve recently moved to Texas, and although not everything in Texas is necessarily ‘bigger’ like everyone says, I will admit that the weeds are definitely bigger. Some of the weeds in my lawn shot up to over 2 feet tall in a matter of a few weeks.
I have found that attempting to getting rid of weeds permanently with sprays is a waste of time and money. Sometimes the weed will wither and die, but it will grow back in a couple of weeks. If I have found a spray that is powerful enough to kill a weed, it also kills my grass. You need to destroy the root in order to permanently remove the weed. Question: What’s the best solution to destroy the root? There are basically 2 ways to uproot a weed and prevent it from coming back:
Answer: Throw it in the trashcan, and get it out of your lawn forever. **Please put me down as a reference, [email protected], if you sign up***
Ok how are people NOT using this website? I searched their site and only about 35 people in Austin are using it. That's ridiculous Austin. Swapadvd.com is one of the best money saving websites on the internet. Here's how it works. Let's say you buy the movie Twilight. You watch it, and realize how terrible it is. Ok now what? Sure, you could probably lie to Wal-Mart and tell them it's broke and they would refund your money, but you have morals. Well here's a simple solution. Go to swapadvd.com and sign up for an account, it's FREE (make sure you mark me down as a referral so I can get a credit please, [email protected]) Then, just post the ISBN number found on the back of the DVD, and wait. More than likely, there are 100 naive people who want this movie and are in line waiting for it. You'll get an email saying that someone wants the DVD you posted, and just login to your account. You print a wrapper with their address, and then simply pay for shipping (currently about $1.90). Then once they receive this DVD, they make it as received and you get a credit. Boom, now you can start receiving DVDs other members have posted. If you own more than 10 DVDs, chances are you'd be willing to get rid of 1 of them in exchange for another. I've mailed over 100 DVDs in the past 3 years, and I have only had 1 person not mark a DVD as received (dirty liar, I know you're watching Mr. Brooks right now just laughing at me while reading this). Each DVD is worth 1 credit, so if you have a special edition with 2 DVDs then it's worth 2 credits. If you have a season of a show, that's a a ton of credits. Blu Ray movies are worth 2 credits per disk. I'm in line for 89 movies right now, and receive about 1 or 2 movies a month from my queue. What are you waiting for? Go to swapadvd.com and sign up. And make sure you mark me down as a referral so I can get a credit :) [email protected]. Thanks and happy swapping. Hopefully you've found this blog post before you've broken you're Xbox 360. If you're trying to play a video file on your Xbox 360, but it won’t let you watch it unless you’re signed on to Xbox Live, then you've come to the right place.
You're probably getting an error message (51-c00df236) saying you need to download an update in order for the video to play; an update that you’ve probably already downloaded. That's actually not the problem, although you will still need to download the update, which is called the "Optional Media Update." Due to Microsoft’s annoying DRM (Digital Rights Management) practices, Microsoft only allows your videos to be played on Xbox 360 you originally set your Gamertag up on. In my case, I've been through 4 Xbox's in the past 5 years, and have had to move my account and licenses multiple times. I ran into the probably today because I have 2 Xbox's still. One is connected to my Gamertag that has an Xbox Live account, the other is not. I was going to do some workouts I have in MP4 format via a flash drive upstairs on my Xbox 360 that is not connected to Xbox Live, and got the error message. The second I connected it to Xbox Live, it worked, but only when I recovered my Gamertag on that console. Whether it’s a DivX codec, or Windows Media, the license is for the player, not the movies. You will have to transfer your “license” to your current Xbox. Just follow these Transferring Content Licenses instructions and you'll be good to go. WARNING: You can only transfer your license once every 12 months. So, if this is not your primary Xbox, don’t do it. If you've moved you're account within the past 12 months, or have another Xbox you need to watch movies on, continue on. THE WORKAROUND! If you want to watch DRM content on a different Xbox 360 than the one with your Gamertag/Xbox Live account on it, or if you can't move your Content Licenses right now, then follow the steps below. You don't need a Gold account, you can just use a Silver Account, so don't go buy another membership for the following steps.
Ok, I'm all up for a terrible movie every once in awhile because it makes me appreciate good film making. However, Netflix has been getting low grade crap added to their instant queue since I can remember.
Every once in awhile, they will get a good movie added, but it was released14 years. VHS is dead, DVD's should be dying but aren't, and we should have just skipped Blu Ray all together and gone straight to digital copy. If only there was a device where I could just download a digital license for a movie and watch it on my TV whenever I want? Oh wait, there is. Zune allows you to buy movie licenses, as does Amazon.com, and many other platforms. Zune is compatible with Xbox, and Amazon won't be far behind. Right now Netflix isn't cutting it for quality movies, and no one wants to pay $7 for a digital copy that you can' take over to a friend's house (yet) and watch it without it being a hassle. Going to Blockbuster is too expensive, and Red Box doesn't always have want I want. The same company owns Netflix and Red Box so either way they win. Why on Earth haven't all the Blockbusters been shut down? If Amazon pulls something crazy they will come out on top. Zune isn't worth mentioning, because iTunes would beat them if they cared. Ultimately whoever (or whomever, I don't know which one, shut up) wins this battle will be the FIRST company to allow users to have access to every movie, ever, in HD if available, for one monthly rate. I want all my movies in one place, not on my shelf, not in the mail, not from a machine outside Wal-Mart, and certainly not from Blockbuster. Just got done watching Season 4. If you haven't watched Mad Men, you should. That is all.
How to correctly add where you work on Facebook and link it to your employer's Facebook page3/31/2011 Follow these steps to correctly link where you work on your Facebook profile to your employers actual Facebook page. If you add the name of your employer into your Work section of your profile, it will just link to a blank page.
***You need to be using Firefox and have this Web Developer add-on installed*** In this example we will be linking to the Green Leaf Spa Facebook page. First you need to find your employee’s Facebook page_id:
Sure enough, I have not been blogging. Who didn't see that one coming? It's like me saying I'm going to practice guitar every day. I have, however, been practicing video games almost every day and am getting my callus back on my thumb. Cool huh?
So my cat has diabetes, that sucks. Not because giving her insulin is annoying, it takes a minute twice a day. It sucks because it cost $113 a month for insulin. Fortunately I've been told that I can stretch that bottle out at least 2 months if not 3, so that's a positive. After $900 in vet bills, we're near the end of figuring it all out. Today is the first day in 4 years that I haven't had a job. Ironically, it's exactly 4 years to the day when I started working at Cornerstone Bank Technology Center. So far today I've updated my LinkedIn account and my résumé. I've posted my résumé on austinjobsite.com, and applied for about 5 promising jobs. We'll see what tomorrow brings. I will definitely step it up a notch tomorrow.
