Ok, I'm all up for a terrible movie every once in awhile because it makes me appreciate good film making. However, Netflix has been getting low grade crap added to their instant queue since I can remember.
Every once in awhile, they will get a good movie added, but it was released14 years. VHS is dead, DVD's should be dying but aren't, and we should have just skipped Blu Ray all together and gone straight to digital copy. If only there was a device where I could just download a digital license for a movie and watch it on my TV whenever I want? Oh wait, there is. Zune allows you to buy movie licenses, as does Amazon.com, and many other platforms. Zune is compatible with Xbox, and Amazon won't be far behind. Right now Netflix isn't cutting it for quality movies, and no one wants to pay $7 for a digital copy that you can' take over to a friend's house (yet) and watch it without it being a hassle. Going to Blockbuster is too expensive, and Red Box doesn't always have want I want. The same company owns Netflix and Red Box so either way they win. Why on Earth haven't all the Blockbusters been shut down? If Amazon pulls something crazy they will come out on top. Zune isn't worth mentioning, because iTunes would beat them if they cared. Ultimately whoever (or whomever, I don't know which one, shut up) wins this battle will be the FIRST company to allow users to have access to every movie, ever, in HD if available, for one monthly rate. I want all my movies in one place, not on my shelf, not in the mail, not from a machine outside Wal-Mart, and certainly not from Blockbuster.
